The customers' Catapult database is an integral component of each new ECRS installation, and as such, the Database Specialist is essential to ensuring successful customer database implementation and overall customer satisfaction. This is accomplished through coordination with the customer and project manager in collecting, analyzing, and formatting the customer's current data in a timely manner to meet specific delivery timelines and commitments.


  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  • Identify database requirements by interviewing customers, analyzing customer/vendor-related data, manipulating data, and importing customer-approved data for the creation of the customer's Catapult database.
  • Maintain communication with customer during build process, answer questions and request data updates.
  • Prepare customers for implementation by conducting training on the data within the ECRS database framework.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of each database to the appropriate Project Manager to achieve Time to Market goals.
  • Evaluate new and existing data as provided to ECRS by suppliers.
  • Assist customers in designing database structure.
  • Conduct research with ECRS customers, Installers/Trainers, and others for feedback to improve the database construction process and end results.
  • Take responsibility for continuing education and remaining current on database management methods and processes.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other ECRS departments to meet the demands of growth and market competition.


  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Retail inventory management experience preferred.
  • Advanced skill set with Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and use discretion to solve problems for ECRS, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent email and telephone communication skills and the ability to listen, understand goals and objectives, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet multiple timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze, disseminate, manipulate, and distribute data.
